Cushion for the Fall
Spring / Summer '27 Collection
This collection is about the casual environmental racism surrounding Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, ‘05. Instead of focusing on the darkness of the event itself, my concept is a reflection on post-trauma expression and celebration of New Orleans families and heritage. “Making do with what you got”
After forced evacuation, my family prioritized family bonding by watching the Saints play every Sunday in the living room together. Thank you Katrina for bringing my family closer together and bringing light to importance of tradition.
